Homework: If you didn't finish it please finish the letter to yourself that we started in class.

In Class Today:

What a great beginning. Students were able to navigate well and had a wonderful transition to school today.

Language Arts: Students wrote letters to themselves about their first day jitters, feelings, and goals. They will have a chance to read these next fall as they transition into 7th grade. We used a QR reader to learn more about students in the classroom. We also created a few video clips about what it is like being at Hunt on the first day of school.

Math Students did a math assessment test to help teachers identify areas of strengths and weaknesses. They also worked on making fractions with candy wrappers.

Social Studies: We began a class discussion about digital citizenship. We will send a letter home to parents at the beginning of next week. Hopefully our netbooks will arrive towards the end of next week.

Team Meeting: We had a team meeting to begin building and developing a sense of community. Ask your child about the meaning of the expression. "No mass exodus"
